Our Vision
Our Vision and
Therapeutic Approach
Our vision is to offer a safe, nurturing environment where each child and young person can begin to heal, grow, and thrive. We are committed to building meaningful, trusting relationships through consistent, emotionally attuned care that supports recovery from trauma and the development of a secure sense of self.
Our practice is rooted in the principles of PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and the wider framework of Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP). Together, these approaches place relationships and attachment at the heart of care, recovery, and development. Staff use PACE to engage children with warmth, respect, and empathy, creating emotionally attuned interactions that help children feel safe, understood, and supported in making sense of their experiences. This foundation supports the development of secure attachments, positive self-narratives, resilience, and the capacity to build meaningful connections.
DDP extends this by emphasising the healing power of safe, trusting, and reciprocal relationships. Through consistent, relational engagement, staff support children to regulate their emotions, rebuild trust in others, and develop secure attachment patterns. By reducing the impact of past trauma and fostering co-regulation, our practice promotes long-term psychological growth and well-being.
